20 Years of Kink!

This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of Kink, a magazine that was born out of an exhibition and that we never imagined would last more than just a few issues. We first saw the light in the spring of 2006, and since then we have published 43 issues. Nearly 900 boys have generously stood in front of our camera.

They, the boys, were the initial motivation, but our love for photography was the reason that led us to start this project. It has been, and continues to be, a privilege to develop work like this and, to mark our 20th anniversary, we will be celebrating throughout the year with exhibitions, presentations, books, fanzines, and photographs. A year in which we want to show how far Kink has taken us and project it into the future, a future in which we hope to continue counting on your support.

When we started Kink, we decided that we did not want to depend on advertising. This meant that we needed support in order to continue publishing the magazine, support that comes from the sale of Special Editions, Original Photographs, and Polaroids. For this reason, we are once again launching a new Special Edition in pre-order, which will be sent by registered mail as soon as we have the next issue of Kink in our hands, expected next April.

Thanks to you, we have been able to keep this project alive for 20 years, and we would love to continue counting on your support in the future.

¡20 años de Kink!

Este año celebramos los 20 años de la publicación del primer número de Kink, una revista que nació a partir de una exposición y que nunca imaginamos que duraría mucho más que unos pocos números. Vimos la luz en la primavera de 2006 y, desde entonces, hemos publicado 43 números. Casi 900 chicos se han mostrado generosamente frente a nuestra cámara.

Ellos, los chicos, fueron la motivación inicial, pero nuestro amor por la fotografía fue la razón que nos llevó a iniciar este proyecto. Ha sido, y sigue siendo, un privilegio desarrollar un trabajo como este y, con motivo del 20º aniversario, vamos a celebrar durante todo el año con exposiciones, presentaciones, libros, fanzines y fotografías. Un año en el que queremos mostrar hasta dónde nos ha llevado Kink para proyectarla hacia el futuro, un futuro en el que esperamos seguir contando con tu apoyo.

Cuando comenzamos con Kink decidimos que no queríamos depender de la publicidad. Esto hizo necesario contar con ayuda para poder seguir editando la revista, un apoyo que proviene de la venta de Ediciones Especiales, Fotografías Originales y Polaroids. Por esta razón, volvemos a lanzar una nueva Edición Especial en preventa, que será enviada por correo certificado tan pronto como tengamos en nuestras manos el próximo Kink, previsiblemente el próximo mes de abril.

Gracias a ti hemos podido mantener vivo este proyecto durante 20 años, y nos encantaría seguir contando con tu apoyo en el futuro.
